The past catches up...
I have tons of housework to do but lily refuses to give up my lap. She is even jealous of me typing and keeps batting my hands with her paws and putting her head on the keyboard to try and stop me. She has jealousy issues. Once I was showing J something on the computer and he sat on my lap. Lily went ballistic and started biting and scratching me until J got off me. She also sits on books when I am trying to read them. She hates anything that takes me attention away from her. My cat needs therapy. I read an interview with Anne Perry talking about the murder she commited as a teenager. Anne Perry's real name is Juliet Hulmes and the film "Heavenly creatures" was based upon her and her friend Pauline. Juliet and Pauline murdered Pauline's mother in a brutal fashion after she tried to separate them. (Side Note: See the film, it is amazing in my opinion.) Anne brought herself back into the public eye by becoming an author so I have no idea why she seems so shocked about her past catching up with her in 1994 when the film was released. Yes, it was a long time ago and yes, maybe she does regret it and feel guilt... but you cannot change the past. No amount of remorse will bring back their victim. I'm not saying she does not deserve forgiveness, my point is that the past catches up with you. No skeleton stays in the closet forever. You can't hide from the things you've done. Finally she has faced up to her past and said that she is sorry and wishes it never happened. That is the only way to deal with your past. You face up to it and deal with it in any way you need to before moving on. Just trying to ignore it, means you still have an issue. Hope that made sense as I have a habit of babbling and going off on tangents! |
